NASACT Webinar: GASB Review: 2024

NASACT is pleased to announce the latest in its series of training events addressing timely issues in government accounting, auditing, and financial management.

As the fiscal year-end for most state governments quickly approaches and a new year begins, it is an opportune time for financial statement preparers and auditors to get a refresher on standards that will be effective for June 30, 2024, financial statements, as well as recently released GASB statements that will require attention in fiscal year 2025. This webinar will provide must-know guidance on these standards.

Effective for fiscal year June 30, 2024, are:

  • Statement 99 - Omnibus 2022 (Financial Guarantees and Classification of Derivatives)
  • Statement 100 - Accounting Changes and Error Corrections 
  • IG 2021-1 - Update (5.1)

Effective for fiscal year June 30, 2025, are: 

  • Statement 101 - Compensated Absences
  • Statement 102 - Disclosure of Certain Risks

The webinar will also cover key standards and projects on GASB's technical agenda.

To register:

  1. Visit the State of Arizona Human Resources Portals webpage.
  2. Click Login under the “Online Learning Portal”. This will launch the TraCorp Learning Platform.
    1. If the user has not logged in to the new learning management site before, the user will need to use the employee identification number (EIN) and the initial password of “NewUser1” on the first login. Once in, the user must change the password before proceeding.
  3. Once logged in to TraCorp, Click Assigned Content.
    1. For those who have a full access (FA) or limited access (LA) TraCorp account, click on My Student before launching content.
  4. In the search field to the left, enter "GAO Hosted Webinar”.
  5. Under the upcoming session, click Register for the July 11, 2024 session.
  6. The user will receive a confirmation email with access instructions.
